Stats Panel

Overview

The marketing team at Business Cover Expert/My Cover Expert needed a real-time stats panel UI to monitor key performance metrics. The goal was to provide a quick and clear overview of critical marketing data, including:
• Total ad spend
• Cost per lead
• Active on site count
• Total number of leads for the day
• Overviews for ad platforms (Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Facebook Ads)

This panel would be displayed internally on screens within the department as well as accessible on the teams computers, ensuring quick and easy access to essential data without navigating through multiple platforms.

Process

Understanding the Needs

Working closely with the marketing team to identify the most crucial metrics to give them an impactful overview. The team also wanted to use the panel on their second screens so having links to the CRM as well as quick links to all the ad platforms was important. Overall the general consensus was a need for a clean, uncluttered interface that prioritised real-time data visibility.

Wireframing & Prototyping

I designed wireframes to outline the panel’s layout, ensuring a logical and intuitive arrangement of elements. I then developed a high-fidelity prototype to simulate real-world interaction, allowing for early feedback and refinements.

Key design features included:
• Real-time data display ensuring key metrics were updated dynamically for up-to-date insights.
• Small red and green ‘lights’ against ad platform names would show if campaigns were live.
• Dark Mode toggle implemented a quick-access dark mode for user comfort.
• Quick links to the CRM as well as links added to all campaigns, ad platforms and stats would ensure users could get to where they needed if they wanted more than an overview.
• Minimalist & intuitive layout which focussed on clarity, using visual hierarchy and contrast to emphasise key data points.

    Impact

    The marketing team were happy with the final result and improved efficiency. They could instantly access key stats, reducing the time spent gathering data manually.

    The dark mode toggle improved usability, accommodating personal preferences and reducing eye strain.

    The panel seamlessly integrated with several platforms including: Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Linkedin Ads, Bing Ads and FLG360 as well as the Business Cover Expert and My Cover Expert websites.

    Overall, the project was a great success, improving efficiency and reducing cognitive load for the internal team members.
